The McKinney Consolidated Manufacturing Center assembles and tests some of the most advanced Electro-Optical Infrared products in the world. Production Associate perform a variety of tasks to validate, troubleshoot and adjust these products to deliver the highest standard of quality equipment into the hands of the warfighter.  This position supports multiple Programs production business needs and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment supporting the Common Products Production programs. The position requires strong interpersonal skills and performs a wide variety of sequencing, planning, scheduling, coordinating, and reporting tasks in support of the manufacturing workflow.

What You Will Do

  • Assemble, modify, and rework electronic and mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies and unit assemblies. Performs soldering, wire/cable preparation, installation, routing, crimping, torqueing.  All work is completed per written work instructions to prescribed standards.

  • Uses and operates support equipment and tools to complete necessary requirements.

  • Uses support systems and software to meet work goals and business requirements.

  • Meets necessary certification and training required by assigned SAS work center policy.

  • Performs incidental related duties as assigned or required.

  • Maintain active J-STD-001 solder certification

Qualifications You Must Have

  • High School Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Uses and operates support equipment and tools to complete necessary requirements.

  • Meets necessary certification and training required by assigned RIS work center policy.

  • Metrics driven and success oriented

  • Requires willingness and availability to work limited overtime

  • Effective self-starter and professional interpersonal/customer service skills, with a “can-do” attitude

  • Customer focused

  • Good understanding of lean manufacturing concepts

  • Understanding of working in an ESD and FOD free environment

  • Six Sigma or equivalent training

  • Working and collaborating in a team environment

  • Quality conscious

  • Experience in the following applications:

  • CMES - To monitor progress, NCs, and current execution status

  • iMRO - To monitor depot progress, NCs, current status (desired)

  • Common PDM - To validate As-Built configurations, alternates, ECNs, and change history
