Banner Heart Hospital is one of the three largest single standing heart hospitals in the United States. We are a Level ll Cardiogenic Shock Receiving Center along with top STEMI receiving center, heart failure center, percutaneous coronary interventions, and all types of open-heart surgery. Banner Heart hospital has one of the largest structural heart programs in Arizona, performing greater than 150 TAVR’s per year along with mitral clips, and watchman. We perform over 600 open heart surgeries and over 1200 vascular surgeries per year. Over the last 10 years, Banner Heart Vascular interventions has increased by 30% performing fem-pop bypass, ELG, AAA, CEA, TCAR’s, and many of interventions for vascular needs.
The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit is a 28-bed ICU, providing high level critical care to a large portion of cardiac and vascular patients as well as providing care for patients with implantation of Impella’s, IABP, SLED, CCRT, and EKOS catheters. We are a number one receiving center for patients needing hypothermia therapy post code. We have 6 cardiovascular surgeons, 30 interventional cardiologists, and 9 vascular surgeons, specializing in hemodynamic monitoring and evidenced based care. We have excellent teamwork, a strong collaborative culture, and are looking for nurses interested in making a difference in cardiovascular care.
This position will be working 3-12 hour night shifts; 7:00PM-7:30AM. You will also have the opportunity utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage. Enjoy an 18%-night shift differential and a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential.
This role will be based out of Banner Heart Hospital, but will require you to float and work at Banner Baywood Medical Center as needed. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process.

This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
