Gross, Mendelsohn & Associates, P.A. is seeking career-minded individuals who wish to pursue (or are in the process of) getting a CPA license and a career in public accounting to work as entry-level staff in our Tax Department. Tax staff accountants prepare tax returns for corporations, partnerships, estates and trusts, and individuals. You will also learn to perform compilations and reviews.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Associates degree, accounting certificate, or bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
- Previous experience preparing a variety of tax returns or accounting experience is a plus (VITA program)
- Working towards a CPA license; or interested in pursuing a CPA license.
- Career-minded for public accounting.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required for this position. Must be able to interact with co-workers, partners, and clients.

- Strong aptitude for learning software and accounting skills
- Due to COVID-19 we are following stringent safety protocols and our office is open. We would like new staff to be willing to work in our office for maximum learning experience. Some virtual work may be approved once established.

COMPENSATION
Gross Mendelsohn compensates employees based on several factors including but not limited to skill level, experience, education, degree(s), and certifications.
- Bonus: Eligible for discretionary bonus and tax season charge hour bonus or total annual charge hour bonus based on meeting hours requirements.
