As a Staff Tax Accountant, you will have the opportunity to be involved and exposed to a comprehensive range of tax compliance and tax planning projects. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by helping the business avoid potential penalties for non-filing, as well as identify tax cost savings opportunities. The team you will be working with is collaborative, communicative, and knowledgeable, and values the opportunity to improve and build on tax knowledge and skills that this position offers.
So, what will you be doing as a Staff Tax Accountant?
- Support International, U.S. federal and state tax compliance
- Research and analysis of foreign, U.S., and state tax laws
- Tax audit support
- Involvement in the Company’s tax compliance – tax returns, tax payments, and other tax reporting obligations
- Assist in finding solutions to complicated tax issues
- Assistance with tax planning and structuring
- Assistance with accounting for income taxes and associated SEC reporting
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field from an accredited college or university
- Strong critical thinking skills with an analytical mindset
- Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn and adapt to change, multi-task, and thrive in a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills with focus on quality, detail, and accuracy
- Strong project and time management skills
Things we consider a plus:
- CPA certification (completed or in process)
- Advanced Degree (MBA, Master of Accountancy, Master of Taxation)
- One or two years of experience in tax or accounting
- College GPA of 3.5 or above
