Summary
Manages and coordinates assigned front-line supervisors along with production workers to achieve safety standards, production schedule completion dates, quality expectations, production labor standards, and overall customer requirements in a safe and consistent manner. The position will be responsible for their product line’s performance to expectations and KPI’s. This will include oversite of planning and execution in functional areas such as assembly, component fabrication, and awareness of all facility HS&E in a possible multi-shift environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Employee Related
- Participates in interviews and the hiring of direct labor work force in conjunction with established company policies.
- Helps Production Supervisors with employee evaluations to determine skill level.
- Manages direct reports and employees in accordance with established company rules and regulations and administers consistent disciplinary action accordingly.
- Follows company policies and enforces consistent regulations in the following areas – ISO9001, Safety, Ipsen’s Quality Management System, and all associated work rules.
- Analyzes and resolves work related problems and works with supervisors in solving work related problems.
- Actively works with ICS Aftermarket Operations Manager and COO to support company goals as well as to interpret feedback to increase productivity and efficiency of work force.
Production Related
- Participates in established operations, production and project management meetings.
- Provides feedback and commitments during these meetings.
- Provides feedback to ICS Aftermarket Operations Manager on methods to improve or alternative methods to achieve established goals.
- Serves as the backup and fills in for the ICS Aftermarket Operations Manager when they are not at the facility.
- Publishes production schedules and estimates labor requirements for timely completion of job assignments.
- Ensures facility is organized to obtain maximum efficiency.
- Work with all interrelated departments to resolve design, material, or other problems
- Interprets specifications, blueprints and job orders to workers and assigns duties accordingly.
- Adjusts or establishes new work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and output of product.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crews.
- Confers with supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
- Must control project efficiency within established labor budgets.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Possess advanced leadership skills with a focus on communicating effectively, motivating, delegating and managing conflict with a team.
- Ability to communicate verbally, written as well as strong active listening skills. Able to successfully communicate to various levels within the organization.
- Possess strong IT skills (such as MS Office, Word, Excel, ERP, etc.)
- Possess an elevated level of professionalism when interacting with employees, management, or outside individuals.
- Ability to work in a challenging environment and successfully juggle competing priorities.
- Possess an elevated level of attention to detail & accuracy.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates or bachelor’s degree or other advanced education preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressively increased responsibility in a manufacturing environment coupled with proven experience in supervising or leading an operations team.
