Job Summary:

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin is recruiting an exceptional Pediatric Cardiology Advanced Imaging Physician to join our nationally recognized Division of Cardiology. We are looking for candidates with a track record of clinical excellence and interest in education as demonstrated through training and/or practice experience. Individuals interested in this position should have 4th year fellowship training in advanced imaging including transthoracic, transesophageal, 3D, and fetal echocardiography.

  • This position is full or part-time, 50%-100%.

  • This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location.

  • This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.

  • Applicants for this position will be considered for the titles: Clinical Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Assistant Professor, Professor (CHS), Associate Professor (CHS), Assistant Professor (CHS), Visiting Professor, or Visiting Associate Professor. The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health (applicable to Physicians hired on the Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) track)). An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.
  • Provide interpretation of all modalities of echocardiograms and performance and oversight of 3D, transesophageal and fetal echocardiograms, outpatient ambulatory cardiology clinic, and inpatient service attending.
  • Engage in clinical teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students, and support the teaching and clinical research missions of the division and department.
