About the Team
The centralized Workplace Investigation Team (WIT) is responsible for the prompt, thorough, and objective investigation of workplace concerns and complaints raised by DoorDash employees in the United States and internationally (Canada, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand).
About the Role
The Senior Workplace Investigations Business Partner (Sr. Workplace Investigations BP) is a key member of the WIT. This role will effectively conduct and manage complex internal investigations from intake to resolution while ensuring that employees are treated fairly and with respect, and that cases are investigated and brought to resolution in a timely manner. This role will provide advice and counsel to HR, Employee Relations, and managers to ensure the consistent application of policies and procedures across the organization. This role is also responsible for identifying trending issues, assessing root causes, and making recommendations on how to address systemic concerns. The Sr. Workplace Investigations BP reports to the Workplace Investigations Manager and partners closely with Employment Legal, HR Business Partners, Employee Relations Business Partners, Internal Fraud, and other functions within the People Team.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Act as the lead investigator for highly complex and sensitive workplace investigations across various business units, conducting interviews of complainants, subjects, and witnesses; making objective recommendations based on your findings; and drafting comprehensive investigative reports with your summary of findings.
- Conduct timely, objective, and thorough internal investigations including but not limited to allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, code of conduct violations, conflicts of interest, fraud, and safety in the workplace, and prepare all required documentation.
- Prepare, maintain, and track all case related documents and communication in the designated case management system and serve as a backup for administration in the case management system.
- Apply independent judgment when providing guidance to HR/ER and managers in the resolution of workplace concerns.
- Develop effective relationships with cross-functional partners and managers and become a trusted resource.
- Identify macro trends and themes as it relates to workplace concerns and create, recommend, and influence positive change to solve the root problem.
- Collaborate with your manager to develop rigorous data analysis and reporting that will provide insights to the business.
- Consult with in house employment attorneys as needed to ensure compliance and consistent interpretation of relevant laws and regulations.
- Participate in projects led by the WIT team as needed.

- You have 8+ years of relevant experience in workplace investigations, HRBP, employee relations, and/or employment law.
- You have a Bachelor’s degree.

Nice to haves:
- AWI-CH, SPHR/SHRM-SCP, or CFE certification
- Previous tech/startup experience
- Previous experience with HR Acuity Case Management and Compliance Line/Ethico
