Project Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Student to join our Biomedical Research Lab for a term-limited position. The successful candidate will support ongoing research projects under the supervision of a senior graduate student or postdoctoral researcher. This role provides hands-on experience in biomedical research techniques and offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge studies in orthopaedic trauma.

Responsibilities

Perform laboratory assays, in vitro tests, and microbiology experiments with accuracy and adherence to established protocols.

Assist in the preparation and execution of preclinical research studies related to orthopaedic trauma.

Collaborate with a senior graduate student or postdoc to collect, record, and analyze experimental data.

Maintain a clean and organized lab environment, ensuring compliance with safety and ethical guidelines.

Participate in lab meetings and contribute to discussions on project progress and findings.

Qualifications

 

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in biology, biomedical sciences, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of laboratory techniques (e.g., pipetting, aseptic technique, data recording).
• Interest in biomedical research, particularly in microbiology, in vitro testing, or preclinical studies.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Prior lab experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
