Job Description:
We are currently hiring for a System Integration and Test Cross Product Team Lead Engineer supporting the Standard Missile – 6 (SM-6) Block 1B Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) Program. This leader will be the primary interface to program office, customer, and industry counterpart, while also providing leadership and technical guidance to the system integration and test team.
Join this team to perform technically challenging assignments which will directly contribute to protecting our nation and our war fighters.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Responsible for leading all system integration and test activities throughout the execution of the program, meeting cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
- Responsible for developing test environments and artifacts to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Responsible for interface and coordination with internal and external organizations on integration and test planning, coordination, execution and reporting activities.
- Extensive interaction with Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Technical SMEs, and Discipline Leads.
- Coordinate with other IPTs/CPTs to draw on their subject matter experts to address emergent issues across the systems, software, and hardware domains.
- Represent the interests of the Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) discipline on the program.
- Interface with the customer community on a regular basis to share status, issues, and address programmatic concerns.
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and twelve (12) years of engineering experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience leading engineering teams and managing cost and schedule.
- Experience working with customers to develop program integration and test strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- M.S. Technical Degree
- 10+ years leading Integration, Test, and development activities, to include 5+ years in technical and program leadership positions.
- Experience with the SM-6 Program
- Experience with DoD or similar major programs throughout the product lifecycle
