Mission Summary:

Senior level IT analyst focusing on infrastructure and project engineering for new and existing manufacturing IT systems. This includes, but is not limited to,  the integration and modernization of legacy systems, connected worker, knowledge management, machine vision, advanced analytics, Industry 4.0/5.0, digital twin, AI and process improvement through the SmartMills initiative.

 

JOB FUNCTIONS:  (Job functions include, but are not limited to the following)

• Translate business requirements into technical requirements.
• Project Engineering for Manufacturing transformation initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and guide the implementation of resilient and scalable IT infrastructure solutions tailored to SmartMills program.
• Mill Division IT 2nd Tier technical support escalation 
• Analyze existing and proposed designs, improve systems and ensure best practices are followed.
• Oversee quality assurance and testing processes for infrastructure deployments. Conduct performance testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure the functionality and performance of infrastructure components and systems.
• Leverages partnerships with IT teams and key business stakeholders to troubleshoot complex systems.
• Collaborates with Enterprise IT Architecture, Cyber Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure functional specifications are converted into flexible, scalable, and maintainable system designs.
• Ensures system designs adhere to company standards / collaborate to develop new standards as appropriate.
• Serves as a technical expert for project teams throughout the implementation and maintenance of assigned systems.
• Reviews and validates technical specifications and documentation for proposed solutions.
• Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
• Maintains understanding of new and existing technology to support business goals.
• Adhere to change control, security policies and audit requirements.
• Develop and maintain documentation of infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Involved in proof-of-concept efforts and evaluates new technologies that drive efficiency and productivity to achieve business goals
• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of infrastructure projects focused on the SmartMills program. Develop high level project timelines and ensure adherence to project milestones and deliverables.
• Assess cybersecurity risks related to smart manufacturing initiatives. Develop and implement measures to mitigate risks and adhere to standards and best practices.
