Senior Dietitian

Under general supervision, using a high level of individual judgment and critical thinking skills, conducts complete and focused clinical nutrition assessments, prioritization of complex data, problem solving, counseling and regimen adjustments for high risk patients, such as patients who have diabetes with complication, multi-system organ failure, Stage IV pressure ulcers (etc.) of all ages within specialty practice of Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT). Works in conjunction with other health care professionals, such as pharmacists, nurses, and physicians to maintain optimal nutrition health for individual with potential or known alteration in nutritional status. Provides education and training of patients, caregivers, health care professionals, dietetic interns, and subordinate staff concerning theories, principles and practices of specialized MNT. Investigates need for alterations in existing policies and procedures, programs and formulary or develops new policies and procedures in collaboration with the Clinical Nutrition Operations Manager.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Dietetics/Nutrition.
- Master's Degree Nutrition or related field. Or Current Registered Dietitian with one advanced certification, such as:
- Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC), Or
- Certified Diabetic Educator (CDE), Or
- Fellow of Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (FAND), Or
- Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition (CSR), Or
- Certified Oncology Specialist (COS).
- Upon hire: National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration
- 2 years Experience in direct patient nutrition care; 5 years preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree Science or Public Health.
