Summary: The Director Campaign Excellence - Student Visionaries of the Year Top Market
role serves as a strategic advisor and enterprise-level consultant for the most profitable and
high-impact markets across the country within Celebration Initiatives. This position provides
advanced strategic planning, market-specific guidance, and national campaign expertise to
ensure peer-to-peer fundraising efforts in top markets consistently exceed revenue goals.
With a focus on innovation, scalability, and sustainable growth, this role plays a critical part in
advancing LLS’s mission of relentlessly pursuing cancer cures.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Mission Integration
• Serve as a strategic thought partner with Education Services and Health Research leadership to align national mission priorities with market execution strategies across top-performing campaigns.
• Equip high-impact, high-revenue markets to deliver best-in-class, mission-centered activities that advance LLS’s national visibility and community impact.
• Translate national priorities into scalable, market-specific mission integration strategies across the highest revenue-producing geographies.
Strategic Planning
• Lead comprehensive, market-specific strategic planning that integrates revenue forecasting, constituent engagement trends, and leadership pipelines to drive consistent multi-year growth across flagship campaigns.
• Proactively shape the strategic direction for the top markets by identifying systemic opportunities and risks, utilizing data to design interventions that drive market dominance and donor retention.
• Partner with VP of Campaign Development and Senior Directors to develop scalable national toolkits, KPI benchmarks, and best practice resources for adoption across enterprise campaigns.
• Contribute to national campaign planning by piloting innovation strategies in top markets that can be replicated region-wide or nationally.
Staff Leadership & Development
• Partner with Regional Leadership to coach, model and train fundraising staff in assigned territory on initiative best practices and strategies
• Collaborate with Region and Territory leadership to evaluate staff performance and hire talented high impact revenue teams
Innovation in High Impact Fundraising
• Drive enterprise-level fundraising innovation by identifying, testing, and scaling high-yield strategies in flagship markets—serving as a national learning lab for campaign advancement.
• Develop and deepen strategic relationships with national-level partners, sponsors, and volunteer leaders to drive transformative revenue growth and sustainable partnerships.
• Provide expert-level insight into top market dynamics, campaign development trends, and constituent behaviors to inform national revenue strategies and external messaging.
• Serve as a key collaborator on cross-functional initiatives to expand LLS's fundraising and mission delivery reach through innovation, strategic partnerships, and operational excellence.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required; relevant certifications preferred.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in peer-to-peer fundraising, campaign leadership, or nonprofit program strategy.
• Proven ability to partner effectively with a range of leadership styles and cross-functional teams.
• Skilled at balancing strategic thinking with detail-oriented execution to drive complex campaigns forward.
• Demonstrated success in leading high-performing campaigns, including:
◦ Executing $1M+ fundraising events
◦ Driving 20%+ year-over-year revenue growth in competitive markets
◦ Managing top-tier candidates who raised $250K+
◦ Securing high-value sponsorships and corporate partnerships
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and inspire results.
