Job Summary:
The Data Scientist / Senior Data Analyst is an integral part of the Analytics Team, dedicated to harnessing machine learning techniques for advanced data analysis and predictive modeling. This role is pivotal in guiding strategic business decisions and refining operational processes. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the ETL process, ensuring the integrity and quality of data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employ machine learning algorithms such as regression, classification, and clustering to conduct thorough analysis of complex datasets, uncovering key trends, patterns, and anomalies that guide strategic business decisions.
- Continuously develop, refine, and scale predictive models tailored to various business scenarios, such as trend forecasting, supply chain optimization, and product quality enhancement, adjusting these models as data and business needs evolve.
- Implement and maintain MLOps practices to streamline the deployment, monitoring, and management of machine learning models in production environments. This includes automating data pipelines, model training, and deployment processes within Databricks, GCP, and other MLOps tools to ensure scalability, reproducibility, and high availability of models.
- Collaborate closely with other business units to develop analytics that align with strategic objectives, effectively integrating analytical insights into business operations through clear communication and collaboration.
- Clearly articulate complex data insights in an actionable manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, aiding in informed decision-making.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data science and analytics, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of data-driven innovation.
- Apply exceptional problem-solving skills to address practical business challenges using data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with various departments such as Marketing, Operations, and Customer Service to apply data insights to their specific challenges and goals, translating complex data findings into actionable strategies.
- May be called upon to build proof of concept visualization products to demonstrate features and gather feedback from stakeholders.
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Years and Type of Experience:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in data analysis, predictive modeling, and data engineering.
- Experience in applying machine learning techniques and using MLflow in a business context is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing data-driven solutions that have positively impacted business outcomes.
- Previous experience as a Machine Learning Engineer is highly desirable.
Key Required Skills, Knowledge, and Capabilities:
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python,R (optional), and SQL
