About the role
The Claims Representative is an important member of the business office team. This position is responsible for evaluating, resolving, and processing insurance claims and denials. The Claims Representative works closely with the clinical departments and third party payers. This position does offer Remote/Virtual work options.
Education Requirements: 1. High School Diploma or GED 2. Certification from a Medical Billing Program and/or a Professional Certified Coding credential preferred but not required Experience Requirements: 3. Previous experience in the medical field 4. Working knowledge of basic coding principals using CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, and HCPCS preferred but not required 5. Working knowledge of federal, state and local regulations, guidelines, and standards, including a working knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations preferred but not required 6. Experience with procedural requirements of third-party medical insurance payers preferred but not required 7. Working knowledge of accounts receivable principles, procedures, standards and documentation preferred but not required Harbin Clinic is made up of 1,300 proud professionals, each one All In to care completely for the people of Northwest Georgia.
