About Construction Management - AECOM Tishman
Since 1898, AECOM Tishman has managed the construction of some of the world’s most iconic buildings. We employ a diversified preconstruction and construction management staff of structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers; architects; technology specialists; scheduling and cost control personnel; and construction estimators and accountants. We provide expert consultation and guidance in all phases of a building project, from master-planning, preconstruction options evaluation and decision-making, to design review, estimating, and scheduling, through procurement, construction and occupancy. AECOM Tishman’s staff manages all consultants and contractors on a project, representing client interests throughout the project cycle. In total, AECOM Tishman has built more than 900 million square feet – including the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, One World Trade Center in New York.
Job Description
AECOM Tishman has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Mechanical/Electrical Construction Project Manager to work primarily in Long Island, NY with travel to Manhattan as necessary.
- Provides overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.
- Provides technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, maintains close client interface, and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.
- Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned construction project.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS in related curriculum and 4 years of experience in construction with a focus on electrical and mechanical or demonstrated equivalency of experience and /or education.
Preferred Requirements:
- 4-5 years experience in the field of construction project management.
- Experience running projects in 1-5 million range.
- Stong multitasking skills, having run multiple projects at once.
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- The ability to read and interpret drawings.
- Experience in the requisition process (RFP).
- Experience in managing subcontractors.
- Experience in the purchasing process.
- Offered rate of compensation (New York City only) will be based on individual education, qualification, experience and work location. The salary range for the position is $100,945.50 - $186,749.180 annually (exempt).

- This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future.
- The vast majority of the work will be executed in the Long Island NY area.
- For positions with driving responsibilities, Motor Vehicle Records are reviewed as part of AECOM’s background check process to ensure compliance with the Company’s driving standards.

- This position does not include relocation.
