Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a qualified college intern candidate with background in mechanical engineering, systems engineering, and/or software engineering.
THE WORK
In this important role, you will be helping to:
• Create and evaluate system design concepts, architectures, and prototypes to meet customer requirements
• Define and develop system requirements and architecture
• Support system integration and test to verify and validate system functionality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system design and integration

Basic Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in a bachelors degree program in a relevant engineering discipline. Including systems, electrical, computer, mechanical or software engineering
• Basic knowledge of systems engineering principles, including system design and development as well as system integration and testing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent team-work skills with the ability to collaborate on and communicate complex technical information
Desired skills
• Familiarity with systems engineering methodologies, such as Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Systems Modeling Language (SysML), System Engineering Life Cycle, etc.
• Familiarity with engineering design and development tools such as modeling and simulation software (MATLAB, Simulink, etc.), design and architecture tools (Solidworks, Creo, Visio, DOORS, Cameo, Rhapsody, etc.), and collaborative platforms (Git, Jira, etc.)
• Previous internship or other hands on experience in a related engineering discipline
• Basic understanding of software development practices and previous software development experience
