Sales Engineer

Our partner is looking for a remote FSO Incubate Sales Engineer in San Francisco, CA. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, defining and delivering product demonstrations, and working with other teams to drive sales growth. The job involves working directly with customers as a technical expert for the Incubate solution.

• Provide world-class pre-sales technical support for the new-to-market Cisco FSO Innovations Incubate solution.
• Define and deliver business-relevant and compelling product demonstrations to showcase the FSO Incubate solution to customers.
• Work directly with Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing teams to drive rapid sales growth of the FSO Incubate solution.

Requirements

• Experience in a sales engineer or customer-facing role.
• Experience turning technical requirements into business value.
• Experience and competence working at OS command lines including Unix, Linux, and Window command prompts.
• Experience with Unix/Linux/Windows shell scripting.
• Knowledge of cloud computing (at least one vendor).
• Knowledge of basic networking components and concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic networking issues that may prevent communication between hosts.
• High-Level understanding of AppSec (Runtime Application Self-Protection, RASP).
• Experience with web servers and common relational databases used in today’s application architectures.
• Ability to understand SQL.
• Able to travel up to 50%.

Desired Additional Experience & Skills:

• Comfortable with speaking at all organizational levels (internally and externally).
• Experience with application performance management technologies and techniques.
• Certified in one or more cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba, Oracle, etc.).
• Experience with Big Data.
• 4+ years’ experience in one or more of the following: software selling, cloud engineering, performance engineering, performance testing, object-oriented application architecture, site reliability engineering, IT operations/systems administration, devops engineering.
