Within the Biomolecular analysis division at Agilent, we define, develop, market and manufacture groundbreaking automated electrophoresis solutions, such as TapeStation Systems and the Fragment Analyzer. We serve a worldwide customer base around the globe in various Life Science markets.

We are looking for a Product Owner (m/f/d) to join our team in Waldbronn, close to Karlsruhe, to drive innovation and delivering outstanding products.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders including software development, design/user experience, support, quality assurance and manufacturing to ensure that the product aligns with business goals, user needs, and market demands.
• Working with the Usability and UI design team to develop innovative solutions by creating user concepts and defining work packages in the form of User Stories that guide the development team in building the right features
• Breaking down user needs into User Stories that can be built by software development team
• Supervising and prioritizing the product backlog based on changing requirements, business value, and user impact, keeping overall product vision, project goal and timeline in mind
• Verifying the work generated by the development team, ensuring that the product delivers maximum value and adequate functionality

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in (Bio-) Informatics, Computer Science or similar field
• Proficient experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an agile environment
• Strong technical expertise in software development
• Knowledge of Molecular Biology or Biotechnology techniques is a plus
• Affinity for technology and technical challenges, with an analytical demeanor and strong problem-solving abilities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and eventually in German
• Ideally, experience with tools used in collaborative, agile software development, particularly Jira

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams from different business functions and culturally diverse environments
• Ability to work independently towards broadly defined objectives
