2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Description

Continuously exemplifies the Greenwood Communities and Resorts (GCR) mission, values, and customer service philosophy of GCR in job performance and in relationships with others.  Support the course 1st Assistant and Superintendent. Will be trained to perform chemical and fertilizer applications on the golf courses and grounds. Assist with the day-to-day operations of the golf courses and ongoing projects.

• Pesticide Application Training (if applicable)
• Irrigation Repair Training (if applicable)
• Performs special projects and additional duties as assigned
• Conducts all work in compliance with OSHA standards, guidelines, personal protective equipment etc
• Complies with all Resort policies and procedures
• Operates and maintains golf course equipment when necessary
• Follows all state and local safety and environmental standards
• Other duties as directed

Requirements

• Possess strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
• Minimum 1 year experience working on a golf course
• Ability to work flexible schedule and long hours when necessary
• Pay keen attention to detail and have a strong sense of urgency
