Position Title:  Manager, Fundraising Campaigns and Special Initiatives

Position Classification: Regular; Exempt; Full-Time; 40 hours/Week

Reports To: Managing Director, Resource Generation Strategy

Location: Employees in this role can work from our Boston, MA office, remotely within the U.S. or hybrid of these two options.

Position Overview:

The Manager, Fundraising Campaigns and Special Initiatives plays a critical role in advancing Partners In Health’s (PIH) fundraising objectives by managing high-level donor campaigns and fundraising initiatives, managing systems and processes for resource generation across PIH, and supporting strategic projects across the Resource Generation Branch. This role works closely with frontline fundraisers, programs and finance staff, and senior leadership to ensure the successful execution of campaigns and initiatives that align with PIH’s organizational priorities. The ideal candidate will have strong project management and planning skills, experience in restricted fundraising or campaign management, and comfort in data tracking and analysis. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Fundraising Campaign Management (50%)

  • Manage a portfolio of fundraising campaigns and initiatives for high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and corporate donors. Activities include support in goal setting, pipeline and revenue tracking, stewardship and report planning, and internal communications.
  • Track and analyze campaign and fundraising performance, providing actionable insights to improve outcomes and achieve fundraising goals.
  • Accompany frontline fundraising teams to understand fundraising goals, project goals, and budget information. As needed, support in the preparation of fundraising solicitations, budgets, and program information.
  • Act as a liaison between programs and fundraising teams, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and fundraising activities.

 

Process and Systems Management (30%)

  • Serve as an administrator and manager of PIH’s Restricted Funding Forum, a critical process that ensures efficient coordination, decision-making, and tracking for restricted fundraising opportunities assessed by the organization. Responsibilities include notetaking and documentation, managing deadlines and communications across global stakeholders, and ensuring data quality.
  • Liaise between finance, gift administration, and fundraising teams to ensure that incoming funding is appropriately coded and tracked.
  • Support the development of tools and resources to improve processes and instruction for restricted fundraising.

 

Special Projects and Strategic Initiatives (20%)

  • Support strategic projects across the Resource Generation Branch that advance the organization’s fundraising goals, as needed.
  • Serve as a central point person for the Resource Generation Branch when PIH’s emergency response protocols are launched, supporting internal communications and integrated planning across fundraising teams.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in frontline fundraising, campaign management, or project management in a nonprofit setting. Experience in fundraising from both individual and institutional sources strongly preferred.
