Job Title: Senior Business Analyst – Cybersecurity Data & Risk Insights

Location:  Galway


Job Overview: 
The Fidelity Cybersecurity team is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our core datastore project. This role involves the working with various business groups to surface their data needs and promote capabilities to drive their relevant processes, including skills to analyse and draw key insights from collected data. 

We are seeking a highly motivated and curious Business Analyst with a strong foundation in Cybersecurity and data-driven problem solving to support our Identity & Access Management (IAM) Operational Data Store (ODS) initiative. This role will bridge business needs and technical delivery, helping to surface actionable insights that reduce risk, enhance governance, and improve access-related decision-making across the enterprise. In addition to the business analyst responsibilities, this role will act as a Scrum Master for the team, help to drive the agile ceremonies and manage work intake.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience within a cybersecurity function coupled with strong business analysis skills

You will be responsible for shaping the business impact and outcomes that the solutions provide to critical applications and functions across multiple areas of the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering & Business Engagement

  • Engage across Fidelity Business Units  (e.g. Product Areas, Application teams, HR, compliance, infrastructure) to understand their access data needs and risk concerns  
  • Document and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements for dashboards, metrics, and reporting
  • Ensure delivered insights clearly demonstrate business value. whether supporting compliance, audit readiness, operational efficiency, or policy enforcement

Cybersecurity Risk & Policy Alignment

  • Identify data elements that correlate with “identity and access risk”, such as privileged access, dormant accounts, or SoD violations  
  • Ensure all work aligns with and reinforces Cybersecurity policies, controls, and standards
  • Act as a champion for IAM governance practices and help promote awareness of policy adherence across stakeholder groups

Stakeholder Relationships & Communication

  • Translate business requests into well-scoped data and analytics use cases  
  • Communicate progress, roadmaps, and value delivered back to stakeholders in clear, business-relevant language
  • Work closely with product owners, technical leads, and architects, using insights to influence product capability outcomes.

Process & Governance Enablement

  • Help support and evolve IAM-related processes (e.g., entitlement reviews, joiner-mover-leaver) using insights from the ODS core data store
  • Collaborate with data owners and platform teams to uphold data quality, lineage, and access controls  
  • Support change management and training efforts as new tools and reporting capabilities are rolled out
  • Server as a Scrum Master for the team facilitating agile ceremonies such as standups, planning and refinement sessions.

Required Expertise:

  • 4+ years in a Business Analyst, Cybersecurity Analyst or related role  
  • Experience with IAM, PAM, or access governance programs
  • Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOX, etc.)  
  • Proven ability to work across business and technical teams to deliver actionable requirements  
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to engage diverse stakeholder groups
  • Familiarity with Agile practices and experience delivering data solutions in an Agile environment.
     

Skills and Attributes:

  • Knowledge of SQL or ability to read/interpret data queries  
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry (e.g., financial services, healthcare)  
  • Experience with IAM policy and control implementation
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently under general direction.
  • Ability to server as a scrum master.
