About the role
Job Description Summary
The NAM Correctives Field Leader is responsible for the safe, compliant, and effective execution of field operations for North America hourly teams performing major component upgrades and blade repair work scopes across the Wind Services fleet. This leader owns frontline execution performance across assigned field resources and is accountable for safety, quality, productivity, workforce effectiveness, and customer delivery outcomes.This role provides direct leadership to hourly field employees and/or frontline crew leads supporting major campaigns, large corrective maintenance events, retrofit activity, and blade repair operations. The leader is expected to drive standard work, strengthen operational discipline, build organizational capability, and ensure field teams are positioned to execute complex work scopes reliably and safely across multiple customer sites.
The role requires strong partnership across planning, technical support, engineering, sourcing, EHS, and operations leadership to remove barriers to execution and deliver business commitments. The NAM Correctives Field Leader is also expected to create a high-performance team culture through coaching, clear accountability, field presence, and disciplined follow-through.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Field Execution Leadership
- Lead North America-based hourly field teams executing major component upgrades, corrective maintenance campaigns, and blade repair activities
- Ensure field work is executed in alignment with approved procedures, quality requirements, technical standards, and customer commitments
- Provide visible frontline leadership in the field to reinforce safe execution, work quality, pace, and crew effectiveness
- Drive daily execution rigor across assigned work scopes, including readiness, deployment, completion tracking, issue resolution, and escalation management
- Support outage and campaign execution by aligning labor resources, site priorities, and operational constraints with business commitments
- Ensure field teams are equipped with the required tools, parts, documentation, training, and support needed to perform work effectively
- Respond to emergent operational issues and adjust priorities as needed to maintain execution continuity and customer support
Safety, Quality, and Compliance
- Own safety leadership for assigned field teams, including reinforcement of EHS expectations, use of stop works authority, hazard identification, pre-job planning, and risk mitigation
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, customer requirements, regulatory standards, and service operating procedures
- Drive quality discipline in the field by reinforcing procedural adherence, inspection rigor, documentation accuracy, and workmanship expectations
- Lead follow-up and corrective actions for safety events, quality escapes, near misses, and execution deviations
- Partner with EHS, quality, and technical teams to identify systemic issues and implement sustainable countermeasures
- Set clear expectations that safe and compliant execution is the baseline for performance
People Leadership and Talent Development
- Provide direct leadership, coaching, and performance management for hourly field employees and/or frontline crew leaders
- Build a strong field organization through active talent assessment, development planning, succession support, and workforce capability building
- Establish a high-accountability team culture with clear expectations for safety, conduct, performance, quality, and customer focus
- Conduct regular field engagement, coaching conversations, and performance follow-up to improve team effectiveness and strengthen employee development
- Support recruiting, onboarding, training completion, qualification readiness, and retention efforts for field personnel
- Identify skill gaps across teams and work with training and operational leaders to improve technical and leadership capability
- Reinforce employee engagement through communication, recognition, inclusion, and consistent leadership presence
Operational Ownership
- Own execution performance for assigned field teams through the management of key operating metrics, including:
- Safety performance
- Quality performance
- Productivity
- Schedule attainment
- Labor utilization
- Cycle time
- Outage execution performance
- Training and certification compliance
- Drive operating rhythm and performance reviews for field execution, including regular inspection of work in progress, backlog, labor deployment, and execution risk
