Overview

The Technical Data Publisher OR Senior Technical Data Publisher is responsible for maintaining current technical content using multiple databases and applications in support of the Technical Operations Organization. In addition, they are responsible for content review, process accuracy and currency, error resolution and internal customer service. This position works independently and initiates their work from beginning to end. This includes the analysis, processing, and publishing of technical content.

 

An increase in compensation will be considered for a Senior Technical Data Publisher role, based on relevant qualifications and experience.   

Responsibilities

  • Maintains Technical Operations Content Management Systems, applications, and currency-controlled file locations.
  • Ensures currency on all Tech Ops controlled technical content.
  • Publishes revisions to all Tech Data controlled technical content.
  • Processes manual subscriptions.
  • Initiates and maintains communication with vendors.
  • Interface with Engineering, Maintenance Programs and Quality Control in the production of new or revised Company documents.
  • Creates and revises company manuals in electronic format.
  • Controls Tech Ops Change Request (TOCR) process.
  • Performs review, finalization, and publishing of Company Originated Content (COC)/ Supplemental Data.
  • Documents and files Tech Ops related reference documents for Engineering, Reliability, Maintenance Programs, and other departments.
  • Performs SGML/XML originated content loading, analysis, and processing error resolutions.
  • Performs content quality auditing and validation.
  • Builds and distributes Reports and Notifications.
  • Assists in maintaining Tech Data Control Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as related to Publishing activities.
  • Provides guidance for the Technical Data Publisher.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree and/or comparable work experience
  • Two years aircraft maintenance experience required; FAA A&P certification preferred
  • Two years technical writing experience required; aircraft structures, systems, and/or powerplant technical writing experience preferred
  • Strong personal skills, including a strong work ethic, reliability, and a self-motivated drive for excellence, efficiency, and continuous improvement
  • Strong interpersonal skill
