We are currently seeking a Community Transportation Specialist for our Queens location to assist with the transportation of residents to and from appointments, school, and special outings. We offer flexible working hours, with mostly morning and evening shifts as needed.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of Position:
- Safely transport residents to and from their scheduled appointments, schools, and special outings at designated dates, times, and locations.
- Operate company vehicles and navigate local roads and highways while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Assist residents in and out of vehicles, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff regarding transportation schedules, arrival times, and any issues that may arise during transportation.
- Prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and maintain confidentiality in all interactions with residents, families, and staff.
- Be punctual, professional, and follow instructions carefully to ensure smooth and timely transportation services.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of residents.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Have a valid NYS driver license for at least 2 years.
- Have an acceptable driving record (no suspensions/revocations in the past 2 years).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
