What our pay and schedule look like:

 

  • Monday – Friday 7-3:30
  • Premium pay if called in off hours
  • 3x pay for working company holidays


Responsibilities include: 

 

  • Repair and maintenance of electrical and process control systems for a highly automated bioprocessing facility, to operate in the safest and most productive condition, supporting continuous improvement and reliability of equipment and building systems
  • Instrument and electrical (I&E) subject matter expert for the maintenance department
  • Develop I&E work order scopes of work, plans materials, and labor, for execution of work 
  • Owner of electrical preventative maintenance programs for the facility, continually reviewing programs for continuous process improvements
  • Act as a resource, mentor, and trainer of maintenance personnel for I&E related subjects.
  • Regularly provides electrical safety training for facility employees
  • Installation, repair, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation used in process controls, analyzing systems, valves/actuators, and other pneumatically controlled devices  
  • Determines causes for malfunctioning instruments and takes appropriate action to improve system reliability
  • Variable frequency drive programming and troubleshooting
  • Reads and interprets electrical blueprints, schematics, P&ID and loop drawings
  • Performs preventive maintenance on instrumentation & electrical equipment
  • Working as part of a team but would routinely perform work independently and maintain a high level of accuracy and safety
  • Generate and maintain written procedures for maintenance tasks 
  • Follows all applicable good manufacturing practices (GMP's).
  • Executes and documents planned and unplanned work via computerized maintenance management system (SAP)
  • Maintains and uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
  • Leverages methodologies like root cause analysis to identify and resolve equipment issues
  • Assists in the maintenance of parts inventory
  • Plan maintenance work with operations, contractors, and other plant staff 
  • Leads and partakes in 5S activities
  • May perform other duties as required. 

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

 

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience as an industrial or military I&E technician required; 10+ years preferred 
  • Excellent electrical aptitude, with the ability to analyze, evaluate, and solve electrical, instrumentation, and control system problems
  • Working knowledge of industrial 480V and 4160V 3 phase distribution systems
  • Working knowledge of DCS control system hardware and communications architecture
  • Strong mechanical skills with the ability to interpret mechanical equipment drawings, and perform basic mechanical trouble shooting
  • Working knowledge of personnel safety programs including LOTO, fall protection, ladder safety, confined space entry, line and equipment opening, hot work, and NFPA30
  • Excellent Interpersonal communication skills 
  • Excellent computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to work independent, in a team of peers, or in a cross functional team 
  • Excellent follow through, judgment, and common sense. "Make it happen" attitude
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including a rotating on-call schedule for evenings and weekends as needed 
  • Ability to do moderate to heavy stair and ladder climbing
  • Ability to do moderate to heavy lifting (55 lbs)
