GENERAL SUMMARYThe Inside Sales Representative will focus on driving revenue by identifying and generating sales opportunities for Rapid Micro Biosystems. This role is responsible for building and managing a sales funnel with a focus on closing deals within 18 months. The individual will be expected to drive sales through a blend of lead generation, qualification, and building long-term relationships with potential customers. This position will report directly to the Regional Sales Director, North America and will collaborate closely with field sales, marketing and technical teams to maximize sales effectiveness. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*Sales (90%) Successful selling of Growth Direct and associated consumables and services into new prospective business accounts within assigned territory.· Lead Generation & Qualification: Identify and engage with new and reactivated business accounts, ensuring strong qualification of leads to ensure they are sales-ready.· Sales Outreach: Achieve consistent KPIs, including weekly contacts and appointments, and achieve and exceed annual sales quotas.· Continuous Prospect Identification for key stakeholders inside target accounts.· Opportunity Development: Develop leads into sales opportunities and close deals within 18 months, maintaining accurate pipeline documentation in CRM systems.· CRM Management: Keep up-to-date documentation of activities and encounters, ensuring that CRM tools are updated regularly (email, phone calls, site visits, contacts/decision makers).· Opportunity Documentation: New Opportunity Creation, Opportunity Updates (no less than bi-monthly), probability, close dates, revenue, and comments.· Quote Generation & Sales Closure: Assist in generating quotes and track win/loss documentation, ensuring a thorough and timely follow-up to close sales.· Timely, consistent, and documented follow-up on leads generated from Marketing.· Product Knowledge: Continuously build product knowledge to effectively sell the company’s solutions and assist with technical questions during the sales process.· Trade Shows & Industry Events: represent the company at trade shows and industry events to generate new leads and build relationships.1. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAccount Management (10%)· Customer Relationship: Proactively maintain relationships with existing customers to manage their accounts and ensure satisfaction, identifying opportunities for expansion.· Post-Sale Support: Assist customers with quotes for consumables, service contracts, and any necessary documents for system purchases.· Salesforce & Lead Management: Own the management of leads and sales flow in Salesforce, continuously improving processes and ensuring timely follow-up. 2. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES· BS degree, preferably in the life sciences or related field preferred.· 5-7 years of sales or laboratory experience, with capital equipment, B2B, and life sciences sales preferred.· Exceptional communication skills (both oral and written)· Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.· Proficient with Salesforce and CRM tool
