Job Description:
The IronSpire Group at Crowe provides a collection of boutique services to America’s most affluent families, their entities, and investment and estate planning vehicles. Our multidisciplinary team delivers tailored strategies that navigate both domestic and cross-border tax challenges.
We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager with deep expertise in estate, gift, and trust tax planning and compliance. This individual will play a key role in advising clients, managing sophisticated engagements, and supporting the continued growth and leadership of the IronSpire Group.
Responsibilities:
- Consult and advise on complex wealthy family/family office tax matters via optimizing efficiencies and minimizing risk by providing industry and functional expertise including estate and gift planning, charitable giving and wealth transfers
- Lead the review and sign-off of multiple, complex wealthy family/family office engagements ensuring quality and assessing risk. Research and consult on tax matters to optimize tax positions and support their financial objectives
- Lead tax team in the planning, maintenance and execution of client deliverables and engagement economics
- Serve as a strategic, trusted business advisor to existing clients (and their advisors) and actively source for new clients via internal and external networks
- Lead and develop junior team towards professional success
- Actively utilize internal and external network for current or future revenue channels
- Exceptional knowledge of Tax technology, software and data
- Invest in self and team(s) education through thought leadership in the wealthy family/family office space; has advanced understanding of tax law, regulations industry and technology trends
- Advocate and incorporate for Tax strategy and Tax Transformation into team and client matters
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or JD/LLM required
CPA or JD required
Minimum of 8 years in public accounting, law, or a family office environment
Demonstrated expertise in estate, gift, and trust taxation, including complex and cross-jurisdictional issues
Proven ability to proactively identify client needs, resolve challenges, and build long-term trusted relationships
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a commitment to teamwork and mentorship

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
