Engineering Intern - Motorsport Operations

SUMMARY

Work with Engineers and department personnel to learn the processes and apply the principles of the MAHLE Production System (MPS) along with other assigned duties. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

• Participates in meetings and training sessions as needed to learn processes and developments in the manufacturing of MAHLE products.
• Prepares reports, charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate MPS project data.
• Assists other members of the MMS team with day-to-day activities, including entering and analyzing data, and development of visual aids.
• Assists with 5S activities by working on projects to improve the overall appearance of the plant, according to MPS methodologies.
• Perform mathematical calculations to determine current and future states of manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
• Develop standard work instructions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word applications software is preferred.
• Performs other assignments as instructed by Department Management

 

​​​​​​EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and currently enrolled in college, pursuing a technical degree.
