What will you do?
A day in the life of a Senior Executive Assistant at The North Face looks a little like this:
The Senior Executive Assistant will provide primary support to The North Face Global Brand President. The Senior Executive Assistant will serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies as required. The Senior Executive Assistant must be creative and enjoy working within a matrixed, global environment that is results-oriented and values-driven. The ideal candidate will have the ability to exercise excellent judgment and high confidentiality in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Senior Executive Assistant must be able to work under pressure, in a highly visible role, at times to handle a wide variety of activities and some highly confidential matters with discretion.
Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
- Complete a broad variety of administrative tasks including managing active calendars of appointments; completing expense reports; arranging complex and detailed domestic and/or international travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; and compiling documents for travel / meetings as well as everything between coordinating office events to managing office supplies.
- Correspond with a variety of constituents including other internal executives, Board members, external consultants and other constituents in a highly responsive, professional manner
- Research, prioritize, and follow up on incoming issues and concerns as requested; respond or bring issues forward as appropriate
- Plan, coordinate and ensure the Executive’s schedule is followed and respected. Provide "gatekeeper" and "gateway" role, creating win-win situations for direct access to the Executives’ time
- Maintain highly professional and effective relationships with other Executive Assistants across the company to ensure smooth communication and coordination across the enterprise as appropriate. Has frequent access to highly confidential information and files.
- Enters and/or approves department bills as needed to ensure timely payment for professional services and vendors.
- Completes expense reports on a timely basis for leaders in department as needed.
- Assists with meeting planning and set up; schedules conference rooms, orders catering, secures technology and other resources as required.
- Develops and maintains good working relationships throughout the organization by exhibiting outstanding customer service skills with all internal and external customers.
- Performs these and other departmental duties as assigned.

- College degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience is preferred
- Minimum 7 years of effectively executing similar administrative tasks and responsibilities at the most senior executive level

- Ability to thrive within a matrixed, global environment that is results-oriented, purpose and values-driven, brand-focused
- Exercises excellent judgment and high confidentiality in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities
