About Us
The Global Payment User Experience Design (UED) team is the Fintech arm of ByteDance, growing rapidly and looking for top talent to join our mission. As a Product Designer, you will have a direct impact on shaping user experiences for mobile and web-based payment services, creating innovative solutions that meet the needs of users worldwide. This role offers the opportunity to explore, conceptualize, communicate, collaborate, and refine product designs, driving user satisfaction and engagement on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and design user-centric payment, settlement, and Fintech products for global markets, taking them from strategic concepts to final delivery.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and business stakeholders, to ensure that designs enhance user adoption and address complexity while preserving the product’s core value.
- Conduct comprehensive user research and market analysis to inform product strategy and design decisions.
- Rapidly iterate on product launches and feature updates, incorporating user feedback and data-driven insights to refine designs.
- Clearly and persuasively communicate design solutions, influencing product direction and promoting team alignment.
- Ability to work flexibly with regional teams across multiple time zones, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification
- Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a complex, cross-functional organization.
- Minimum 1 year of experience leading design projects from concept to execution.
- Proven expertise in ideating, designing, and refining products using a user-centered design approach.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. market and user preferences, with the ability to tailor product designs accordingly.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams across different regions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to advocate for product design strategy and influence stakeholders.

Preferred Qualification
- Experience designing Fintech, financial services, or e-commerce products is highly desirable.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $140000 - $250000 annually.​

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
