Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of field tasks, including the collection of groundwater, soil, and surface water samples and overseeing the monitoring of well installations
- Collect and interpret data through research, file reviews, field observations, field measurements, and other methods
- Assist in preparing technical reports to document project findings, conclusions, and recommendations
- Prepare and review field notes, drawings, contracts, and specifications in accordance with company standard
- Contractor liaison and oversight for investigation and remedial program
- Assist in preparing regulatory submittals, such as permit applications and plans
- Apply basic knowledge of federal and state regulations and regulatory programs
- Perform operation and maintenance of remediation systems
- Assist with occasional on-call emergency projects
- Assist in evaluating alternative solutions to science-related problems
- Stewardship of Health & Safety
- Solve problems creatively and effectively and make informed decisions
- Communicate effectively and proactively with managers, peers, and clients
- Be able to learn quickly and take on progressively more challenging assignments
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or additional course work preferred
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in environmental remediation
- Capable of working primarily in an outdoor work environment and occasional office environment
- Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 80 lbs. occasionally with or without accommodation, sometimes over substantial distances
- Previous consulting experience
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle for independent transportation to work sites
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening post-offer acceptance
