Summary of This Role
Manages the development, implementation, and enforcement of the compliance program. Consults on an ongoing basis regarding compliance issues with senior leadership, managers, legal counsel, and government affairs. Engages with client and industry stakeholders to educate and influence regulatory strategy and frameworks.
What Part Will You Play?
Develops, implements, and oversees operational compliance policies and programs based on applicable regulatory guidelines, requirements and best practices for governance and industry standard.
Works with senior leadership, managers, legal counsel, and government affairs to ensure that compliance considerations are integrated into business processes, product development, and strategic initiatives. Provides compliance guidance and responds to requests for assistance from the business and technology teams pertaining to compliance rules.
Evaluates changes to requirements and best practices to appropriately incorporate into compliance policies and programs.
Reviews and interprets documentation with legal counsel, to include proposed changes from regulatory bodies to identify required business and system updates. Recommends approaches and/or solutions that are compliant with applicable regulations while balancing proper investment pursuant to overall corporate, division, and department goals.
Champions compliance initiatives and administers the compliance workstream of special projects, acting as subject matter expert to the organization and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory framework.
Leads compliance monitoring activities. Assesses, monitors and verifies implementation of compliant business processes. Investigates and responds to compliance-related issues, incidents, or breaches.
Prepares and submits regular compliance reports to senior leadership and regulatory authorities as required. Liaises with auditors, legal counsel, and regulatory agencies during audits and inspections. Registers and maintains required licenses for the business.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Relevant Experience or Degree in: No degree specified
Typically Minimum 8+ Years Relevant Exp
4-year college degree and 8 years or more of professional experience, or 10 yrs. specialized training or relative professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with project management is desired
4-year college degree with at least 10 years of specialized training, or 12 yrs. relevant professional experience; previous corporate/business compliance or payment network experience is desired
