The Director of Human Resources will be a trusted member of the North America team, reporting to the VP of Global Human Resources. This position will work both strategically and hands-on to deliver results for the business, with global responsibility, and set the overall direction for HR strategy in collaboration with executive leaders to align the business and people strategy. This role will partner with the business to develop an end-to-end people management and organizational development program for the VP/GM for North America. This role will partner not only with the North America (USA and Canada) team but also with the regional leaders in India and Poland.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Partner with the business to integrate people strategies with the overall organizational strategy.
- Partner and consult with respective business leaders in the areas of organization design & capability, change management, and facilitating skill and leadership development.
- Provide leadership and direction to HR Business Partners and Specialists in the region.
- Aligning the business and HR strategy, diagnosing the gaps, and providing solutions for global implementation.
- Drive the succession planning process in partnership with business leaders, fostering leadership development and career progression of key talent across supported functions.
- Partner with the T&D function to design, evaluate, and monitor training programs utilizing established metrics to guide success.
- Aligning people practices with delivering the DFS employer brand promise.
- Coaching the key leaders in respective functions in the context of development.
- Drive a pay-for-performance total rewards strategy in partnership and alignment with the total rewards leader.
- Supporting the global mobility of key resources as needed in partnership with a worldwide mobility partner.
- Ensuring corporate policies and processes are implemented effectively.
- Partner with the T&D function to design, evaluate, and monitor training programs utilizing established metrics to guide success.
- Analyze and manage key people metrics for the respective functions.
