About the role

This position performs the administrative functions for the company’s sustainability department.

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Assist in the administration of the company’s community service and recycling events
  • Coordinate chain of custody documentation and declaration reporting for third-party certifications
  • Prepare a variety of specialized and recurrent reports
  • Conduct research, compile data and prepare material for consideration and presentation
  • Communicate with internal and external customers
  • Input data for customer requests for information
  • Identify, enhance and follow specific processes and procedures to maximize the efficiencies of the business
  • Maintain, edit and update department records
  • Manage calendars and schedule/coordinate meetings
  • Screen calls and open, route and/or respond to mail for the department 

Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of general office or related experience
  • Microsoft Word skills to include the ability to create reports containing graphs and other intermediate functions (e.g. perform  mail merge, insert table of contents)
  • Microsoft Excel skills to include the ability to create spreadsheets and perform intermediate functions (e.g. create formulas, insert graphs, pivot tables)
  • Microsoft PowerPoint skills to include the ability to create and generate presentations (e.g. add slides, insert an image, move and resize objects)
  • Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, quality, and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes
  • Math skills to include simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Ability to identify issues, compare data, investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
