About the role

The HR Generalist will support various human resource functions including recruitment, benefits, payroll, employee engagement, and performance management. Ultimately, the individual in this role should be able to contribute to the attainment of specific goals and results of the HR department and the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists in ad-hoc HR projects and initiatives that move the department and organization ahead
  • Helps manage the tracking and administration of Citadel’s corrective action process
  • Assists with document preparation and reporting requirements for people and benefits related programs
  • Provides information for audit requests in partnership with business unit leaders
  • Provides various compliance and auditing assistance in areas such as payroll, benefits, AAP, DE&I, employment records, and job requisition files
  • Collects and compiles HR metrics, market data, benchmarking, and best practice information from a variety of sources both internally and externally, e.g., human resource information system (HRIS) and payroll outputs, manager/employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, competitors’ practices, and other sources
  • Based on metrics and analysis, makes recommendations to HR leaders for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture including suggestions to attract and hire qualified candidates, to motivate and retain employees, to address staffing issues, and to maintain legal compliance
  • Assists in evaluation/analysis of reports, decisions and results of HR in relation to established goals. This can include, but is not limited to, performance reviews, annual goals, and variable pay programs
  • Protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with corporate Human Resources policies and according to laws, data privacy regulations, and best practices
  • Serves in a consultative role and performs customer service functions by aiding employees across the organization and answering their requests and questions. Ensures accuracy of employee data in HRIS and benefits administration systems
  • Supports change management initiatives as needed and helps facilitate implementation of HR related initiatives, services, policies, and programs
  • Assists with staffing, recruiting, benefits, and departmental budgets as needed
  • Assist with performance, benefit, and compensation review and evaluation processes as needed
  • All other duties as assigned

        Qualifications:

        • BS/BA degree with a Human Resources focus, 3-5 years of relevant Human Resource generalist experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
        • Pro-active and creative problem-solver
        • Collaborative, self-motivated team player with the ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals.
        • High attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization
        • Excellent follow-through and customer service skills required
        • A strong sense of urgency with the ability to juggle multiple priority responsibilities
        • Strong verbal and written communication skills including creating documentation and distilling key points
        • Ability to remain calm and positive under pressure
        • Ability to research and analyze market trends and best practices and then create metrics and develop solutions to help shape Citadel’s HR practices and evolve policies
        • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or related software
        • Proficient with, or proven ability to quickly learn, the organization’s HRIS (Ultimate Kronos Group/UKG)
        • Proven success in a corporate environment and growth-oriented
        • Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner
