About the role
Steer North America is looking for a motivated, self-starting, problem-solver and collaborative professional to fill our Environment Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator position. This person will be working as part of our global Facilities Team, reporting to the NA Facilities Manager, providing general facilities and EHS support to our United States and Canada offices.
This person will be a contributing member of Steer’s North American/International Business Delivery Group, which is comprised of finance, human resources, marketing, legal, L&D, recruitment, facilities, and IT experts. In combination, these disciplines provide us with the breadth and depth to deliver integrated and innovative solutions to the organization.
The EHS Coordinator will:
- Being the first point of contact on NA Facilities related enquiries, requests, or issues and ensuring that these are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner, escalating to the NA Facilities Manager or another member of the team as needed.
- Ordering office stationery supplies and snacks, tracking expenses, working with our vendors, suppliers, and contractors for various services including cleaning and security.
- Coordination of day-to-day office maintenance issues, arranging for repairs directly or escalating to the building management team as needed.
- Assist the NA Facilities Manager in delivery of the EHS program including the coordination of employee EHS training, according to associated legal and company requirements.
- Directly supporting the NA Facilities Manager to successfully deliver projects such as office moves, office refurbishments or setting up new offices.
- Regularly collaborate and communicate with other Business Delivery Group functions such as IT, HR, and Finance to collectively deliver effective support to the business.
- Work closely with the global Facilities Team to deliver projects that align with Company Plan objectives, always seeking continual improvement in how we manage our buildings, health and safety and sustainability at Steer.
- Help champion Company Social Value and Sustainability initiatives.
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet/internet.

The NA EHS Coordinator will work in a demanding and enjoyable environment across projects in the fields of facilities management services and provide wider support to our business in ensuring smooth and effective functioning of all offices across the region and become part of the critical support structure for a wide range of Steer’s internal initiatives.
