About the role
Verition Fund Management LLC (“Verition”) is a multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund founded in 2008. Verition focuses on global investment strategies including Global Credit, Global Convertible, Volatility & Capital Structure Arbitrage, Event-Driven Investing, Equity Long/Short & Capital Markets Trading, and Global Quantitative Trading.
We are looking for a Lead developer/architect to join our Data Engineering team to help build out our pricing component.
Responsibilities:
- As a lead developer/architect of the Verition pricing infra, this role will collaborate with various interfacing teams
- This person will need to understand required technology interfaces, and develop extensible pricing/valuation framework.
- This role will be in charge of the framework which will be extended to have various internal and external pricing models.
Qualifications:
- Java – 10 + years in core java, databases (JDBC and ORMs), caches (Hazelcast or equivalent), distributed systems, Pub-sum/MOM
- Latest Java versions/Kotlin or Scala a plus
- Core Java: multi-threading, performance optimization, serialization, inter-process communication
- Databases – good with SQL, data and relational modeling, DB optimization and normalization
- Working with pub/sub environments (AWS SQS/SNS)
- Unit Tests and profiling – need to have good experience in using unit tests and profiling tools
- CI/CD – ability automate deployments and support related tasks
- Experience with containerization/scalability/Docker, etc.
- AWS services – Docker and Kubernetes - a plus
- Must have Finance experience
- Good written and verbal communication
Salary Range$150,000—$200,000 USD
