About the role

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Development Technical Lead Analyst for its Tampa, Florida location.

Duties: Develop highly available and scalable software that can handle high volumes under heavy load. Develop low latency and high throughput software using Java based technologies including Java, Middleware Programming, Object Oriented Design and Distributed Programming in Java 8, Spring Boot, Kafka, Tibco EMS, SQL, UNIX, KDB, Solace, Spring Boot, Spring Integration Framework; leverage Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana to create data visualization dashboard for Elasticsearch, performance analysis and continuous monitoring of components and provide updates on application performance. Architect low-latency, high-throughput trading systems that handle vast volumes of real-time data; implement microservices architecture to scale components independently and optimize systems for high availability, fault tolerance and disaster recovery. Perform code reviews, considering performance tuning and thread-safety in concurrent applications. Kanban board-Jira management and follow agile methodology for sprint planning, review, and delivery of compliance/regulatory work, venue driven BAU changes and mandatory enhancements based on priority and CAP/Regulatory/ECN-Contract guidelines. Use CI/CD tools, Git, TeamCity, OpenShift, Docker, AutoSys, Maven, Gradle, Sonar, ECS, ELK stack.  Troubleshoot production issues in real-time trading systems; perform impact analysis on production incidents; provide production support for any inquiries on logical flow of components and perform L-3 responsibilities. Analyze business requirements and provide custom solutions. Stay abreast of developments in Spring Boot, Kafka and Apache Flink; implement upgrades and blue-green deployments to minimize system downtime and optimize trading systems.  Plan and upgrade applications to adapt new technology and tools. Involved in client facing discussions; estimate cost to implement business requirements considering software design and impacts to existing applications. Identify and define system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements. Deliver technology presentations. Collaborate with stakeholders to plan strategic solutions for better performance. Monitor all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation and user and operational support to business users; analyze problems, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement. Develop testing strategies, debugging and implementation for complex real-time trading systems. App Dynamics analysis for response time, memory utilization, leaks and thread performance and impact analysis on production incidents and projects.  Detect and resolve Black duck/Vulnerabilities. Employ advanced monitoring and profiling tools to identify bottlenecks and performance anomalies. Work with cross functional teams for end to end integration for deliverables. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 3 years of experience as Software Engineer, Associate Engineer, Systems Engineer or related position involving Java and Tibco development for Fixed Income tools. Alternatively, will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 5 years of the specified progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. 3 years of experience must include: Architecting and developing high performing and low latency software using Java technologies; UNIX, Kafka, Tibco EMS, Solace; Spring Boot, Spring Integration Framework, Apache Flink; Algorithms and data structures; Oracle DB, KDB, SQL; Grafana, Prometheus, K-QL, ELK stack; CI/CD tools Git, UDeploy, TeamCity, OpenShift, Docker, AutoSys, Maven, Gradle, Sonar; Electronic trading protocols, FIX (Financial Information eXchange), market connectivity in Fixed income business including Credit, Loans, Rates products; Communicating with stakeholders, project management activities, debugging requirement analysis; Security management of applications.
