Job Description:
Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Long-term Intern to join our Engineering Team based in Grand Prairie, TX.

Your Working Environment:
A suburb just outside the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area is home to Airbus Helicopters U.S. regional headquarters, where we have more than 1,000 employees. Your Challenges:
Primary Responsibilities:
Will vary based on the project available at the time, but almost always involve:
Receive and digest introduction to
basic helicopter operation and design,
engineering department roles and activities,
assigned project goals,
Develop project schedule (phases / tasks list, milestones),
Create project execution report (content to be adjusted based on target audience),
Perform periodic reviews with direct supervisor,
Brief project execution / lessons learnt to Department Manager upon project completion.
Mechanical background based project examples include:
Research technical information for feasibility / obsolescence evaluation
Perform maintenance, cataloging, or classification of existing technical data
Create CAD models from legacy data or creating new CAD data
Assist in prototyping activities the functional definition / analysis of an intended design the accomplishment of engineering airframe designs / analysis (and associated reports) repairs or modifications development programs requiring any type of mechanical or airframe analysis, detail design or testing (and associated reports) project execution performance analysis / improvement data manipulation and analysis (and associated reports)
Systems / Electrical background based project may include:
Similar activities than mechanical based project except applied to electrical / systems topics
Additional Responsibilities:
Other duties as assigned.
Your Boarding Pass:
Need to be currently located or local to the DFW metro area as this is a long-term, onsite internship
Currently enrolled pursuing a degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college/university, required
Minimum of 1 years’ experience in 2D or 3D design of detail parts, electrical diagrams, functional diagrams, assemblies and/or installations, preferred
Basic knowledge of 2D or 3D mechanical or structural, OR electrical design requirements, required
Basic coding of data analysis or logical processing functions, preferred
