What is your job scope?
This senior position in our Quality department puts you in the lead for our never-ending commitment to the highest quality. Together with the team, you work to correct and prevent quality issues, non-compliances and defects. You act as a (project) leader on improvement plans, audits and investigations.
In close cooperation with the operations and engineering department, you are customer facing when needed, supplying all stakeholders with correct and timely information.
From an international point of view, you take part in a very dedicated group of professionals that share best practices and expertise. As the Chromalloy Holland representative, you implement international projects on a local level. By nature, have an inquisitive mind that helps you lead the RCCA and 8D processes. By collecting, analyzing, and reporting of data and KPI’s, you help identify trends and areas of improvement. Furthermore, you support other team members in achieving their goals and KPI’s whilst and aim for the best result possible. - Complete Quality Engineering assignments with minimal supervision.
- Advanced understanding of aerospace QMS development, revision, and implementation.
- Define, specify, and implement quality standards and procedures for manufacturing processes.
- Understanding and guiding quality requirements in value stream mapping and process control tools.
- Provide technical advice and counsel to cross-functional teams assigned to process improvement projects.
- High level cross-functional quality support of all business needs.
- Assist in suppler management and problem resolution.
- Direct support for CAPA/RCCA, 8D problem solving, and cross-site corrective actions.
- Review and advise quality requirements for specifications, drawings, and approved technical data.
- Provide technical support to both internal and external customers and suppliers.
- Formulate and implement quality assurance procedures, policies, and standards.
- Actively support COPQ, Scrap/Rework reduction & improved First Pass Yield site goals and objectives.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Who are you?
- You have a relevant education on HBO-level or higher in either Aerospace, business management or similar
- You have intimate knowledge of Quality systems and tools
- Experience in ISO9001 (AS9100) and/or EASA Part 145 Aerospace regulations are mandatory
- An analytical mindset, capable of extracting statistics and reporting in clear and concise manners
- A Continuous Improvement working experience (LEAN Manufacturing) - Previous work experience of problem-solving methods such as: Six Sigma, 8D, root cause analysis, and the associated statistical tools used to analyze problems, evaluate, and complete improvement projects
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Have a broad knowledge of theory and principles of statistics and statistical process control.
- Have a diverse knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques and documentation.
- Strong computer skills including quality applications, word processing, spreadsheets and databases. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
- Specific quality registration schemes and certification processes experience (i.e., ISO9001:2008, AS9100/9110, FAA, EASA, CAAC, NADCAP)
- This job has limited supervisory responsibilities with respect to directing and training of other quality and associated department employees as delegated.
