The Raw Material Product Center, a part of Pratt & Whitney’s Global Supply Chain, is looking for an Account Specialist (AS) in support of Powder Value Stream to manage value assist suppliers. As an account specialist your main responsibility will be to ensure an uninterrupted flow of parts to production while meeting specific quality, delivery, and contractual requirements. You will be the main point of contact for the value assist suppliers you manage, and you will coordinate and lead actions pertaining to business continuity and improvement. The position will report to the Value Stream Manager for value assist and powder suppliers.
What You Will Do
- Supplier relationships: delivery and quality performance, business reviews, underperforming supplier reviews, customer satisfaction
- Purchase order execution of value assist suppliers: on time order placement, billing adjustments, negotiation / cost reduction
- Delivery assurance: ownership of delivery commitment and execution, output support, risk mitigation, driving recovery plans with communication to internal customers, owning the recovery through Line of Balance (LOB) improvements
- Planning: daily interactions with site materials management team and planner for each value assist operation to ensure material flow and setting priorities at the supplier
- 25-50% travel to supplier sites will be required
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related field with a minimum of 8 years of experience in operations, supply chain, or related field OR; an Advanced degree (MS/MBA) with a minimum of 5 years of experience
- Working knowledge in SAP
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with P&W procurement systems and standard work
- Delivery assurance and risk mitigation experience
- CORE experience and analytical/metrics driven approach
