Patient Account Specialist IPN

Description

Responsible for reviewing payor notes on the explanation of benefits and resolve all issues that hinder the adjudication and payment of claims, and see that information is sent within a timely manner, review delinquent accounts for possible reassignment to an out-side collection agency, and properly train all new patient account representatives.

Shift: M-F 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• One year or more of on the job experience in a like or similar position is desired.
• Must have proficiency in English, typing and the use of a calculator.
• Must have a good working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, welfare agencies, insurances, etc.
• Computer experience is preferred.
• Ability to understand and discuss patients’ records, insurances, etc with fellow employees, the public, etc.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending,    stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
