Description of Duties:

The Senior IT Project Manager supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

·         Have Project Management experience in an environment and managing multiple projects concurrently.

·         Have experience using Microsoft Project and know how to create, manage and update their detailed level schedule.

·         Be comfortable interacting with various levels of internal and external customers.

·         Have experience creating and supporting Project status and financial data in internal and external customer meetings.

·         Have experience creating and managing SOWs with a variety of contract types and deliverable strategies.

·         Be responsible for the successful execution of assigned projects specifically meeting cost and schedule targets.

·         Apply Earned Value Management principles in the execution of their projects.

·         Develop recovery plans for projects that are not achieving delivery date expectations. Candidate should have experience, pricing, and estimating proposed costs and costs to complete.

·         Exhibit a cognitive ownership of their project deliverables and partner with matrixed resources to deliver results according to customer expectations.

·         Must demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal teaming soft skills.

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 12 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 10 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 6 years of general experience.

·         Must have 7 years of directly related experience.

·         Must have 1 year of experience in management or leadership roles

·         Must be PMP Certified.

·         Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
