Supervisor CJob Description Summary
Under the direction of the Director for Distribution Services and in coordination and collaboration with the Main Campus Supervisor and Administrative Coordinator, supervises and otherwise oversees the day-to-day operation of the Perelman School of Medicine Distribution Services functions, including Mail Center, Receiving, Infectious Waste Removal, Remote Location Support, and Alcohol Storeroom. Coordinates with Scheduling & Event Services on event set-up and other event related duties as required. In collaboration with DS Admin Coordinator, supervise staff usage of automated bar-code tracking system, provides input to management, often making recommendations, with regard to continued effectiveness of tracking system; maintains benchmarking and performance standards. Trains, coaches, counsels, monitors, and evaluates staff. Recommends and proposes policies and procedures for Distribution Services. Ensures workplace safety and compliance with all governing regulatory authorities. Serves as liaison between staff and customers as well as others in the department to assure members of the Perelman School of Medicine receive the highest quality service from Space Planning & Operations. Provides opportunity for training to staff. Maintains occupational currency through attendance of training and trade shows. Serve as Remote Campus backup to DS Admin coordinator as liaison with Perelman School of Medicine Information Services LSP on all Distribution Services computing issues. Must be physically able to perform the duties and functions of this position. Performs other related duties as assigned. This position is considered “essential.”Job Description
An Associate's Degree or two year college equivalent is required and 5 years to 7 years of supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
