About the role

The Trade Desk is a global technology company and the world’s leading independent platform for digital advertising, with nearly 4,000 employees across more than 30 offices. Our technology helps advertisers reach the right audiences across the open internet — from streaming TV and podcasts to mobile apps, news, and more.

Advertising powers the content people love. By making it more transparent, effective, and responsible, we help support trusted journalism, quality entertainment, and creators worldwide. The world’s brands and agencies rely on us to reach their customers and grow their businesses responsibly.

The scale of our platform brings unique technical challenges — from processing massive datasets in real time to building systems that operate reliably on a global scale. When you work here, your impact is worldwide. We welcome diverse perspectives, encourage curiosity, and build teams that learn from one another. If you’re driven to solve meaningful challenges, we’d love to meet you.

The Trade Desk is transforming the way global brands and their agencies advertise to audiences around the world. At its best, the internet is an open marketplace of ideas, content, and commerce fueled by relevant advertising. That’s why we built an independent media buying platform for the open internet—one that delivers greater transparency, choice, and results for advertisers.

We are building Ventura OS, a next-generation Connected TV platform designed to power premium streaming experiences. As Principal Product Manager, Core Platform, you will own the vision and roadmap for the core platform capabilities that power Ventura TV OS.

This role focuses on the core operating system layer — defining the platform primitives, policies, and integrations that enable scalable, compliant, high‑quality experiences across a complex device and partner ecosystem. You will work closely with OEMs, ODMs, SoC partners, and internal product and engineering teams to ensure Ventura TV OS is robust, performant, and partner‑ready.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the vision, roadmap and execution for core platform capabilities, including overall system‑level UX, setup, settings, profiles, privacy, and compliance
  • Own the vision and definition of platform requirements including hardware, memory, performance, security, etc.
  • Work with OEM, ODM, and SoC partners on platform requirements, hardware/software integration, performance, and roadmap alignment
  • Define platform standards for onboarding, authentication, consent, data handling, and OS‑level enforcement
  • Lead Ventura TV OS privacy and compliance from a product perspective, partnering closely with legal, policy, engineering, and data teams
  • Define certification requirements and validation processes to ensure devices meet Ventura TVOS quality, performance, privacy, and compliance standards
  • Drive cross‑functional execution from concept through launch, balancing technical feasibility, compliance needs, and ecosystem requirements

Who You Are

  • 8+ years of product management experience, ideally in platforms, operating systems, devices, or ecosystem products
  • Experience working with OEMs, ODMs, SoC vendors, or complex hardware‑software ecosystems
  • Strong understanding of how hardware, OS, and platform services come together at scale
  • Proven ability to translate regulatory, privacy, and compliance requirements into clear platform capabilities
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and deeply executional levels in highly cross‑functional environments

Why Join Ventura OS

  • Build a 0→1 platform that is redefining the Connected TV ecosystem
  • Work on consumer-facing products at scale
  • Partner with world-class engineering, product, and business leaders
  • Help shape the future of streaming, advertising, and the open internet
