What is the Role:

 

The Data Platforms team is responsible for the design, delivery and support of technology platform solutions for key Enterprise functions including Data and Analytics, Finance and Risk.

As Data Platforms Delivery Lead you will be leading experienced cross-disciplinary teams to execute the strategy to shape and modernise data and analytics platforms along with the mobilisation and delivery of large scale complex change programmes across a diverse banking portfolio.

 

Key accountabilities;

 

• Execute on the data and analytics strategy to shape and modernise our data platforms.
• Drive a Delivery team within the portfolio, taking responsibility for ensuring change is progressed through all stages of AIB’s change framework, enabling effective change for the benefit of our customers.
• Lead the collaborative, dynamic planning process, influencing the shape and direction of technical, timeline and budget outcomes.
• Ensure all solutions are built to appropriate level of quality
• Mobilise and deliver large scale change programmes, leading cross-disciplinary teams.
• Be responsible for software delivery ensuring maximum productivity by monitoring and improving software development lifecycle practices.
• Prioritise decisions as required in line with product owners and platform lead
• Prioritise work against team capacity and availability & ensure adequate resources with skills and capabilities are in place
• Be responsible for responding to Internal and External Audit and Compliance teams in a professional manner, ensuring accurate, clear and concise responses.

 

What you Will Bring ;

 

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related study, or equivalent experience & 5+ years’ experience in a Delivery Lead role
• Proven track record in making decisions on the technical solutions to complex business needs, and in proposing the resolution of issues for technical deliveries.
• A broad understanding and background in Application, Information, Infrastructure and Integration technologies.
• Good interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation & good analytical and technical skills & Understanding and knowledge of IT standards and controls
• Leads a team to deliver objectives
• Previous experience in agile ways of working beneficial
• Experience in cloud platforms and executing cloud migrations beneficial
• Knowledge of Finance, Risk applications such as SAS, FCCS, QRM or Data and Analytics platforms such as Teradata, Ab Initio, PowerBI beneficial.
