We are excited to welcome a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Senior Product Quality Engineer to our Quality Assurance team in Vergennes, Vermont! In this role, you will help ensure our aerospace products meet top quality standards while working in a supportive and collaborative environment. You'll partner with various teams to identify and resolve quality issues, driving improvements and maintaining compliance with industry regulations. As a Senior Product Quality Engineer at Collins Aerospace, you will play a key role in upholding our reputation for excellent product performance and reliability.

What You Will Do:

• Ensures manufacturing processes and product builds are followed and comply with Quality and Engineering requirements
• Drives problem solving projects and actively challenges the status quo (e.g., root cause and corrective action investigations, (FPY, customer escapes)
• Provides analysis and recommendations for corrective actions for nonconformities and/or design problems for internally produced products & processes
• Leads and drives alignment with fellow quality and manufacturing engineers, sustaining engineers, engineering management, operations, and shop floor personnel
• Participates/implements continuous improvement for established processes for further improvement of quality, efficiency, and cost
• Ensures that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives, and/or contracts
• Responsible for managing time and being organized with daily tasks
• Work with team members, customers, suppliers and in a team environment
• Read, write, speak and understand work instructions, both verbal and written, perform basic math calculations and conduct self-inspection / audit

Qualifications You Must Have 

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer

• Ability to read and interpret material and process specifications, technical drawings, 3D models, technical reports, manuals, and work instructions.
• Experience working in a central quality or manufacturing organization
• Current experience with RRCA’s (Relentless Root Cause Analysis)
