HVAC Chiller Mechanic

<p></p><p></p><p><b>MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK TUES-FRI 6AM-4PM</b></p><p></p><p><b>What you will do:</b></p><p>We are looking for a skilled Chiller Mechanic who has worked in commercial, industrial, and/or institutional markets to join our team. Candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of chiller experience, with knowledge of maintenance procedures.</p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Install, repair, and maintain various types of chillers, including centrifugal, screw, and absorption chillers.</p></li><li><p>Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on chillers to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.</p></li><li><p>Diagnose and troubleshoot chiller issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions and be able to follow blueprints or engineering specifications.</p></li><li><p>Repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment such as rigging equipment.</p></li><li><p>Conduct performance tests and adjustments on chillers to meet specified requirements.  </p></li><li><p>Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, labor hours, and work performed.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with other team members and contractors to ensure timely completion of projects.</p></li><li><p>Follow all safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures.</p></li><li><p>Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns and resolving issues in a professional manner.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Requirements:</b></p><ul><li><p>High school diploma or equivalent.</p></li><li><p>Mechanical Journeymen’s License.</p></li><li><p>Proven experience as a Chiller Mechanic or in a similar role.</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of chiller systems, including operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.</p></li><li><p>Ability to effectively use hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment.</p></li><li><p>Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with handheld computer (i.e., Smartphone, iPad)</p></li><li><p>Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.</p></li><li><p>Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.</p></li><li><p>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.</p></li><li><p>Alignment to company / project safety program.</p></li><li><p>Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><span>Johnson Controls International plc. is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, protected veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a qualified individual with a disability or any other characteristic protected by law.
