About this role

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading the site's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with corporate, regulatory, customer, and industry standards while driving a culture of quality and continuous improvement. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for quality assurance, quality control, supplier quality, customer quality, and quality systems activities. The Quality Assurance Manager partners closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Customer Service teams to improve product quality, reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), enhance customer satisfaction, and support business growth initiatives.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate quality improvement projects

  • Implement and sustain quality tools into daily manufacturing culture (5S, Standard Work, Root Cause Analysis, PDCA, etc.)

  • Analyze operational data, identify opportunities for process optimization, quality improvement, and cost savings

  • Develop and implement standard work procedures, improve consistency and reduce variability in operations

  • Educate lower-level and peer employees on how to apply quality tools and methodologies in business and manufacturing environments to drive best in class processes and products

  • Coach lower-level and peer employees on how to apply best practices related to quality control procedures to effectively evaluate an organization's products

  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to improve process capability and product quality

  • Prioritize safety and compliance with regulatory requirements in operational activities

  • Lead customer, ISO 9001, and ASME audits from the quality perspective

  • Support new product introduction (NPI), process validation, and risk management activities including FMEA and control plans

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of quality management experience or Master’s degree and 5+ years of quality management experience

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical writing to create, review, & approve protocols/reports, work instructions, forms, and SOPs

  • Written & verbal English communication skills,

  • Drive & execute projects, meet project timelines, work cooperatively, lead by using project planning skills and documentation

  • ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CMQ/OE) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
