The Preply Engineering Team provides the tools to help unlock human potential through learning.

We work primarily with Python/Django/React to build scalable and robust applications. We implement A/B tests to prove the value of our initiatives and improve our product based on data and students and tutors feedback. As part of our commitment to ensuring high-quality products, we prioritize monitoring and metrics analysis to identify areas for optimization and ensure our services are performing at their best. Our team is made up of talented engineers who are passionate about solving complex problems and developing innovative solutions to drive our company's success.

Preply Business is a rapidly growing division within Preply where we offer corporate language training to companies ranging in size from small businesses to large enterprises, helping their employees grow professionally and communicate with global colleagues and global markets. As a Frontend Engineer you will use your expertise to build features that delight our users! You will design experiences that make it easy for B2B students to help grow their language skills. 

What you’ll be doing:

• You will work in a cross-functional team alongside the Product Manager, UI designers, copywriters, researchers and other frontend and backend engineers to create and deliver engaging features to our users and clients.
• You will develop product features in React/Typescript
• You will ensure your contributions adhere to our quality standards through testing (e.g end-to-end tests), effective monitoring and alerting configurations, and proactive management of technical debt.
• As a Senior Engineer, you will leverage your experience to guide the team in making informed technical decisions
• Collaborate with backend engineers, contributing to the design of GraphQL endpoints. 
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of best practices within our team, helping us get better and better

What you need to succeed:

• A collaborative team player with strong communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to a diverse audience
• Proficient in building modern frontend applications including substantial experience (typically 3+ years) with React or other modern javascript frameworks.
• Familiarity with TypeScript is a plus;
• Demonstrate pragmatism in your work, balancing the need for timely delivery with the sustainability and technical integrity of our systems.
• You will prioritize user-centric development. You will be motivated by getting to know the needs of our users and consider those needs in your day-to-day work.
• Proficient in English (B2 level or equivalent) to effectively communicate in our work environment.
